ABOUT ME

"There is no shortage of causes in this world, just a shortage of leaders who can inspire us to pursue them." - Simon Sinek

Walking the path of Jesus in service to others is a big part of who I am. As a 20 year volunteer for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, I sit as conference president for my home parish of Corpus Christi, as well as the president for North Particular Council. This role has allowed me along with a great group of St. Vincentian colleagues to oversee many valuable service projects with various local Catholic schools.

I hold a BSc in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming and have lived in wards 4 & 7 (MacEwan, Collingwood, Kensington) for 27 years.

I am an avid football fan, like to golf, and enjoy walking my two furry best friends, Millie and Maisy. Whenever possible, I spend time at our farm in the Bergen area gardening, cooking and entertaining the very best of friends.

My Family... My Why

I am a lifelong Calgarian, married to my husband, Trevor for thirty years. Together we have two grown sons, who have given me incredible purpose on this planet. I know that I am a trustee today by the hand of God and every single experience that they have given me as a mother. Those experiences shape my decisions at the board table for each and every child I have the great blessing to represent.

Where my heart guides me

Alberta School Boards Association

Currently, I sit at the board table of the Alberta School Boards Association as a director. This has given me great experience understanding the landscape of education on a provincial scale. Prior to this position I represented CSSD at ASBA - Zone 5 where I had the great pleasure to work with local trustees from other divisions on the Edwin Parr committee that awards the very best first year teachers for their service to students.

GrACE

GrACE is a grassroots provincial organization to promote Catholic education across the province. I was proud to sit on the steering committee alongside other passionate Catholic stakeholders across Calgary to set direction for the promotion of Catholic education.

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul - Corpus Christi

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a not-for-profit charity that helps economically-vulnerable people with emergency food hampers and assistance meeting basic needs. For the last twenty years I have been in a leadership role at the conference and particular levels.
